Born a Bay Area native, Dr. Michael Hinderman was raised in Pleasant Hill, CA. Growing up in the East Bay Area, Michael participated in youth sports such as football, soccer and baseball all throughout his childhood. He also enjoyed playing golf, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. While Dr. Hinderman loved playing all sports, he primarily focused on football in high school, which quickly cultivated his deep passion for sports and strength and conditioning, as these areas became major aspects of his daily routine.

Dr. Hinderman began his healthcare journey at San Jose State University where he studied Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise and Movement science. During his time at SJSU, he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, played intramural sports, and also participated in various Greek organization philanthropies. After graduating with honors from SJSU, he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West - where he would spend the next three and a half years furthering his knowledge of the human body and movement in pursuit of helping others.

While at Palmer West, Dr. Hinderman had the opportunity to treat several Crossfit athletes, competitive weightlifters, power-lifters, weekend warriors, as well as many corporate employees of the Silicon Valley. He was also involved in Palmer’s Sports Council, and was able to attend events such as the Double Road Race, SJSU Rugby games, and the Surfer’s Path Marathon, where he was able to treat the athletes and participants. Through his practice working with people at Palmer, he was able to experience the meaning of “movement as medicine,” and further developed his passion for improving and understanding people’s health. Three and a half years later, he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic with Cum Laude honors, his Doctorate in Chiropractic, countless memories and friends that became more like family.

As Dr. Hinderman made his transition from “professional student” to chiropractor he continues to consistently learn new approaches, while perfecting his current practices to help his patients. With his passion for fitness, movement and athletics, Dr. Hinderman's main goal is to help his patients perform at their absolute best in any and all pursuits. Whether its at a desk, on the field, in the gym, or at the house - he wants to contribute to overall improved well being and performance.

Outside of the office, you can usually find him spending time with his wife and their dog, Sadie. Dr. Hinderman can also be found pursuing his fitness goals, enjoying the outdoors, cheering for local sports teams, and eating pretty much whatever is put in front of him.
